Nicole Richards, DMD

Dr. Richards attained her undergraduate degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating Temple with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Richards entered The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where she attained her D.M.D as well as her General Practice Residency training in 2011. During her residency , she gained valuable experience working with the special needs and medically compromised population. She continues her commitment to the special needs community through advocacy as a current board member of the Disability Rights of New Jersey.

Dr. Richards understands that Dentistry can seem scary for many and strives to keep her patients calm and comfortable through compassionate care. She wants you to understand your oral health and is dedicated to clear communication.

Dr. Richards has always seen the value in organized Dentistry and was the Vice President of  the Student National Dental Association as well as the lead student advisor of the Dental Gateway program. Dr. Richards continues her involvement in dental organizations such as the ADA, NJDA, as well as AAWD.

On her down time, Dr. Richards is a DIYer who has a knack for interior design, baking and most recently, voice acting. Although she has an affinity for the sweeter things in life she always stresses the importance of excellent oral hygiene by reminding us that it’s not what you eat but what you do afterwards that counts.
